Blue Tractor Farm is the patch o' dirt in Redmond, Washington that Bastille shares with Stoneburner. Seattle Urban Farm Company, the same group that maintains Bastille’s rooftop garden, takes care of the land. Chef Jason Stoneburner works closely with Colin McCrate of Seattle Urban Farm Company on the crop list.
“Growing our own produce grants us a unique kind of creative control in the kitchen,” says Chef Stoneburner. “We’ll be able to get more of the obscure varieties that it can be hard to source but wonderful to cook with.” Blue Tractor Farm adds significant growing space to what's already in place on Bastille's rooftop, which means a major portion of their produce is uber-locally sourced under the direction of the chef teams.
